Robbie McIntosh is a qualified strength and fitness trainer and a level 2 cycle coach exercise science and diploma in personal training and he offers kettle bell sessions and boot camps on the fields on Fridays at 6am. He has been a professional sportsman for the past 30 years winning many races across the world. He was living abroad training and cycling competing in races with professional cyclists that is where he obtained a vast amount of knowledge and experience and shares with other cyclists, clients and the Exxaro mine development riders that he coaches at the cycle camps and sets up programs for them. Full gym facilities and indoor cycling with the latest smart trainers available at Old parks. Robbie is your first choice coach whether you are a beginner or experienced cyclist with a MTB skills and endurance for races and tours. There is a cycling club at Old Parks which offers outrides, cycle camps take place at Misty Valley Lodge where cyclists get optimal training at high altitude in the most beautiful setting and the whole family is welcome. Parys Edwards, a provincial hockey player and a world champion in Triathlon has joined the team as experienced physiotherapist with her consultation room at the Fitness Centre.

Gavin Horton Biokineticist
Whether your goal is to train for endurance events, build strength & muscle, lose weight & tone your body, be rehabilitated following an injury or just have fun with a group of friends, Gavin Horton Biokineticist has something for everyone. His passion is health and fitness and the goal is to be your source of total well-being and vitality.

Parys Edwards from Wits university in 2000 and has since gained extensive experience in sport physiotherapy, including 5 years as the England under 19 Women’s football physio, London Olympics, Comrades marathon, FINA world championships and numerous other elite sporting events.
Parys played SA provincial and junior national hockey, represented Leicester WHC in the English premiere league for 6 years. After her hockey career she turned triathlon winning 2 Triathlon world championships and multiple European & British titles as amateur, before embarking on a successful professional career racing for Great Britain.
Parys combines her extensive work and athletic experience with passion and energy to every patient she sees. She offers bespoke run analyses in addition to sport screening and physio therapy for a wide range of injuries.

Sarah qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2013. After completing her community service in Zululand, Sarah worked in a hospital practice in Durban, gaining experience in chest, oncology and orthopaedic conditions. She relocated to Joburg in 2017 to join a private musculo-skeletal practice treating a wide range of conditions including sports injuries, before joining Parys Edwards at Old Parks Sports Club in April 2020.
Sarah has completed her post-graduate training in orthopaedic manipulative therapy and recently submitted her Msc. Physiotherapy dissertation to the University of Witwatersrand, when she investigated the relationship between neck pain and breathing. Sarah has a special interest in neck and back pain and is excited to use the knowledge she gained through her Masters research to assist in the treatment of spinal pain. She is also interested in using breathing retraining to assist in the treatment in chronic pain conditions and enhance athletic performance.
Sarah is a qualified BASI Pilates instructor and loves to use Pilates as part of the rehabilitation for various conditions as well as to improve core muscle strength, balance, coordination and body awareness Pilates classes are held at convenient times several times a week at Old Parks Sports Club gym.
